Membership math
OSRS bond vs membership cost
Paying with gold and paying with dollars are different questions. Gold uses the live GE bond print. Dollars use Jagex list prices (March 2026): $14.99 per month, $131.88 per year, $9.99 per bond.
If you pay with gold
One bond is 14 days. At 11,871,000 gp that is 847.9k gp per day, or about 23.7m gp for 28 days (two bonds).
That number is the gp you need to earn to stay a member without spending cash. If you make more gp per day than this, gold membership is “free” relative to your grind. If you don’t, cash is cheaper in time.
If you pay with dollars
| Option | USD | Coverage |
|---|---|---|
| 1-month membership | $14.99 | ~30 days |
| 12-month membership | $131.88 ($10.99/mo) | 365 days |
| 1 bond from Jagex | $9.99 | 14 days |
| Cash bonds, ~30 days | $21.41 | ~2.14 bonds |
Buying membership with cash-bought bonds is the expensive dollar path — about $21.41 per 30 days versus $14.99 for a month sub or $10.99 per month on annual. Use store bonds when you need to gift membership or fund an iron, not to save money.
Rough USD per million gp
Store bond $9.99 ÷ 11,871,000 gp ≈ $0.84 per 1m gp. That is not a live FX feed. GP moves every day; Jagex cash prices only move when they announce it.
Jagex USD figures live in this site’s membership constants and should be updated if the store changes. Live GP comes from the Wiki GE feed on each rebuild.
