Blood rune vs Death rune

Two of the highest-volume combat runes on the GE. You buy them to cast, to barrage, or to flip. The right stack is the one that still moves after tax.

Blood runes and death runes sit in almost every magic kit. Bloods feed blood spells and some charges. Deaths feed ice barrage, death-based spells, and a pile of PvM. Both have high limits and real volume — that is why they show up on flip lists.

Neither is a “hold for a year” item unless you have a reason. Spreads are often a few gp. Tax and buy limits decide whether that is worth a 4-hour sit. Run the sale through the GE tax calculator before you fill a limit.

Which one should you buy

Stock death runes if you barrage or you see a live spread that survives tax at your stack. Stock bloods if you actually blood-burst/blitz or you need them for a charge item.

For flipping, take whichever currently has volume and a post-tax gap. See best items to flip and buy limits. Do not merch both just because they are runes.
