Comp Ogre Bow vs. Ogre Bow
The composite ogre bow and the regular ogre bow look similar but aren't the same weapon — here's what actually differs.
Both are used for chompy hunting and related content. The differences that matter are attack speed, range, ammo options, and GE price.

Stat differences
Both bows require 30 Ranged and share the same +38 ranged attack bonus. Damage formulas for chompy-style use lean on ammo strength more than armour bonuses.

The composite bow is the faster weapon with a shorter default range. The regular ogre bow hits farther but fires much slower. The composite version also accepts the full brutal arrow set; the regular bow stops earlier in that tier list.

The composite bow is tradeable and usually the one players price-check for ongoing use. The regular ogre bow sees less GE demand after players unlock the composite option.
Which one should you buy
Buy the comp ogre bow if you will hunt chompies or use brutal arrows regularly. The faster speed outweighs the shorter range for most of that content, and rune brutals stay available.
Keep or use the ogre bow only if you already have one from quest progress and do not want to spend GP yet — or if you specifically need the longer attack range for a niche setup. For almost everyone past that point, the composite bow is the practical purchase.
