Twisted bow vs Bowfa

Both are end-game ranged weapons. One scales off magic defence. The other is a crystal bow you keep charged. The right buy depends on content and cash stack.

Twisted bow 30-day price

The twisted bow (tbow) hits harder against high magic-defence targets. Bow of faerdhinen (Bowfa) is the cheaper crystal bow that still clears most PvM if you keep it charged and use crystal armour. The GE-listed Bowfa is Bow of Faerdhinen (inactive) — charged bows are not the tradeable item.

Tbow accuracy and damage scale with the target’s magic level/defence. That is why it looks broken at raids and some bosses, and merely “fine” on low mage-def monsters. Bowfa does not get that scaling. It is consistent, not a highlight reel.

Which one should you buy

Buy the twisted bow if you already have the rest of a raid kit and you spend time in Cox, ToB, or other mage-def targets. It is a portfolio item. Do not starve your gear to own one.

Buy Bowfa (with crystal armour) if you need a real ranged weapon this month. It covers most content the tbow is famous for, for a fraction of the GE print. Upgrade later.

If the live tbow print is stretched vs Bowfa, wait. Opportunity cost on a 1b+ weapon is real. Track both on GeHound and set an alert instead of insta-buying a spike.
